The Spotfire property control drop down and listbox is currently limited to 1000 values, but we often need to let the user chose from 2000, or sometimes 3000 or more values. The limit of the property control should be increased and the design should be adjusted so that the user can select from this amount of values efficiently.

This is one of the basic feature that is missing in Spotfire. I hope this request is in top priority in 2025 considering the idea has created in 2016! Its been 9 years now.
While we are currently prioritizing other initiatives, I understand the potential of this request as we plan future development. Although I can't commit to any timeline at this point, I will make sure it is on our radar as we evaluate items for upcoming releases.
The idea has been around for a while so I am wondering if the effort is maybe not as small as one would think?
In any case, when using property controls to e.g. select columns it is not uncommon to work with data tables >> 1,000 columns (e.g. in high tech manufacturing very often >1,000 parameters are recorded for a unit). And handling >>1,000 values should be manageable from a memory point of view and this limit feels a bit outdated in times of big data.
What's even worse though is that in e.g. a drop down property control only the initial 1,000 values are displayed w/o any hint that there are more. This is a real issue for us as users will overlook things.
So as a minimum there should be a warning but I am hoping that implementing a warning is just as much effort as solving this old problem. But if I'm wrong, pls at least add a warning.
it's very urgent and its a big limitataion with spotfire.

We need this feature to be prioritized before client ask for alternate tools. it become very comman feature in other tools.

I've been asking for this feature a long time ago, and it's already been over two years.
Some of our customers are still asking for this feature.
Do you have any plan for enhancing this feature? If it is, could you tell me when this feature will release?
