Add a file adapter to connect to parquet files directly
Extend the flat file support of the server to connect directly to parquet files to read in data.

Reading CSV files always messes up data types, parquet does not have this issue. Currently the default format for storing data in a file but not supported in spotfire. Please add parquet support
In Tibco Data Virtualization v8, we would like to use Apache SQL data adaptor to import Parquet based tables. This support is missing with this version. Could you please consider prioritizing support for Parquet as all our tables are parquet based and this limitation is having a direct impact on tool selection decision making. Thanks James

They are a common file type in use by several other big platforms, and are an efficient way to move data around. This would be a very useful addition.
