In the web UI Data Catalog users can see Published Data, Integration and Data Stores, depending on their rights and privileges. Due to technical and compliance reasons in our company users of web UI must not have access to both Data Stores and the "Views created in studio" part from the Integration. So we need an option to deny access to Data Stores and "Views created in studio" in general without changing their privileges.
For reference: When building a flow with sources from Data Stores the web UI completely ignores any RBS or CBS policy set on Tables (which in itself is not recommended as described in the layered modeling). As of now it is unclear how RBS/CBS behave on sources from "Views created in studio". Active WLM rules are completely ignored for sources from both Data Stores and "Views created in studio". On contrast when building a flow with Published Data those (RBS, CBS, WLM) seem to work as desired.
Sidenote: Requests from web UI preview are stuck in the closing state forever (i.e. until the tdv instance is restarted) when canceling the request or leaving the preview or logging out of web UI. This is clearly a bug that should be fixed.
Hi Christoph! Thanks for making an effort to provide additional information. We upgraded the Idea Portal over the weekend and missed a step that enabled customers to add more detailed descriptions. It should be fixed now. I have moved your additional details to the description and will review your input with my team shortly.
Adding the description as comment since the description seemingly can be neither added initially nor edited afterwards.
