.libPaths() returns 8.3 format path notation for some folders,

> .libPaths()

[1] "C:/Users/test/DOCUME~1/TERR/X86_64~1/6.0"

[2] "C:/tibco/analyst/10.10.3/Modules/TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R_64_6.0.0.65/engine/library"


The R 4.0.2 based by TERR 6.0.0 returns paths in full format.


As per TIBCO suppor that is the difference between TERR and R and not being considered as a defect.

Well, that's completely unnecessary difference for TERR to have.

There is no software returns paths in 8.3 format nowadays.


Please make things right.
