Support OR Logic Across Spotfire Filters

Enable the ability to combine Spotfire filters using OR logic across different columns and filter types.

Currently, filters in Spotfire are primarily combined using AND logic, which limits flexibility when defining more complex filtering conditions. Users often need to implement workarounds (e.g., calculated columns or custom expressions) to achieve OR-based filtering behavior.

Supporting OR logic between filters would allow:

• More intuitive and flexible filtering scenarios

• Easier implementation of conditions such as “Column A = X OR Column B = Y”

• Reduced need for additional calculated columns or data transformations

A native mechanism to define OR conditions across filters—potentially within the filter panel or via an advanced filtering mode—would significantly improve usability and analytical capabilities.

This enhancement would enable more natural data exploration and reduce complexity in analysis design.
