The Spotfire "Generate Wafer Zone Analysis" action mod could automatically generate a Feature Layer output that draws the zone boundaries (radial rings and angular crosshairs) directly onto the Wafer Map while not hiding the data.
I have used an externally produced geojson feature layer for my demo, but I would like to suggest that this is automatically created at the same time the zones are.
