Out of the Box Timeline Based Data Visualizations Merged

There are situations when we need to see how data plays out over a period of time. A common scenario would be you are trying to correlate events and associated data with those events in relation to other events and their associated data over a period of time. This spacial relationship among data can be very intuitive and revealing. There are examples of this from companies like Infragistics who make out of the box control libraries for various target platforms/language but they are control libraries targeted at developers not data end users. However,the concept should translate fairly well in Spotfire as it is just a matter of mapping data to a visualization mechanism much like you would with a pre-built control from a shrink wrapped control library or graph in Excel.
