Currently, image rendering is possible in tool tips and in tables. In a cross table, because of required aggregation, images cannot be rendered. If an aggregation option such as 'First()' is used, there is no reason why the image cannot be rendered. I would request this functionality so that Spotfire can be a one-stop-shop for different data types.
My expectation is that such a core capability from TIBCO would also allow PerkinElmer to implement (as part of the Lead Discovery module) the structure renderers for the Cross Table cells too, as these are essentially just images too.
