Data Functions to pass Spotfire data in Tables into Matlab objects of type "Table", "Array" or "Matrix" instead of "Structure"

Currently Spotfire tabular data is received through a Data Function into a "Structure" object (a datastructure where each column is recorded and accessed as a separate field). This is a structure much harder to manipulate in Matlab than a Matlab "Table", "Array" or "Matrix" object type. Can a feature be added in Matlab Data Function to transfer Spotfire tables into Matlab "Tables".
