Hide Repeating Hierarchy Levels

Flat ragged hierarchies often repeat values at lower levels due to different drill down paths. It would be very nice to have the options to hide levels if the parent has the same value. Currently I have to click down through many repeating levels to get to the bottom value for some drill paths. For example CEO > CIO >  IT Manager > IT Employee X > IT Employee X  > IT Employee X > IT Employee X > IT Employee X > Employee #1234. It would be nice if the hierarchy were smart enough to hide the repeating "IT Employee X"s. Creating calculated columns to replace each level that say "If level 7 = level 6 then EmloyeeID" is a work around, but that can amount to many, many calculated columns when you have 4 hierarchies all 20 levels deep.
