Add "Favorites" on Web Player homepage

It would be nice if, in addition to the "Recent" and "Browse" tabs, there was a "Favorites" tab. A user could identify certain visualizations (perhaps up to 8 to match the "Recent" tab) as Favorites so they always appear on the page. This would prevent them from having to browse to the visualization if it no longer shows up on the "Recent" tab.

      Hi,

This is definitely something part of our Statement of Direction for this year.

We seem to have to rely on other vendors functionality here, including the recent on your task bar (after left mouse click) and the creation and simultanious opening of a folder of favorites on your browser. I would have rather seen a solution by TIBCO, but am now coping with what I have.

Considering the ideas that have been merged into this one, does it make sense for the title to be edited to indicate it's not just for the Web Player?

If I saw this in a list, I wouldn't vote for it because I don't have use for favorites in the web player so Tibco might be undercounting support for this feature.

This one should be considered by now, including the two merged ideas. Spotfire is used a lot as a get your info fast utility, but seeking your "expired" reports is a hassle.

The enhancement should be available in the application as well as WebPlayer

I second what JP Lee wrote. This enhancement is so basic, we shouldn't even be asking for it. All modern software has it. Opening anything from the library has become click intensive with potential impact for repetitive stress injury, detrimental to your software ranking among our tools

      Hello,

How many more votes do we need to get this thing implemented? Really, four recents? There are more "Sample files" in the flyout than that and NO ONE uses them. THat this is now going on 3 YEARS since the first request is sad.

Add ability to bookmark/pin files or folders

With new UI in Spotfire 10, it is harder to navigate to files that are multiple folders deep in the library. Spotfire shows 4 "recent analyses" with very large icons but it would be useful to also be able to bookmark or pin a list of reports that ...

Add favorites to access Spotfire library files quicker

Navigating to .Dxp files in the library can be sped up quite a bit if 'Favorites' were to be added. Currently navigation is very repetitive and takes too much time.

Introduce a Favorites option in Web Player

In Web Player, we get the option to view Recent reports and we get to browse the Library. The ability to tag favorite reports and to have that as an option in the left hand panel in Web Player would be very useful. We already have the ability to s...
