With new UI in Spotfire 10, it is harder to navigate to files that are multiple folders deep in the library. Spotfire shows 4 "recent analyses" with very large icons but it would be useful to also be able to bookmark or pin a list of reports that you frequently work with. Perhaps the space under the "browse the library" could be used for this.
See Microsoft Offices's implementation of "Pinned files" for desired behavior.
This would also help reduce the chance of a developer accidentally opening a report with a similar name instead of what they intend. For example, the menu may truncate report names to look like this:
My Great Report
My Great Report...
And a slight mis-click could open the second without realizing it when the full file names are actually:
My Great Report
My Great Report - DO NOT USE - TESTING - PROBABLY BROKEN
Whereas, if you pinned "My Great Report", you know the one in your favorite list is the "good" one.
