Details: We are unable to access any source data file in web player which is currently placed in sharepoint when Linked to Source option is set. When raised a ticket # 01468964, the support informed that the sharepoint connector is not in place yet. I would like Spotfire to take up this idea so that it can be fixed in future releases. We have already set this option in the config file and with that we are able to read the excel files present in the network UNC paths only but not the sharepoint. Please refer to the ticket 01468964 for more information on what all steps we have tried.
Like an excel file stored in a sharepoint document library? We are able to read that live (linked) from the web player. We had to set an "allow all file paths" setting in the config file though, and give our web player service account read permissions on the doc library. Let me know if that is what you are trying to do.
