Join data tables on row number

I want you to be able to combine two tables without keys.
2 tables are both from text or R(statistic services).
So these already have order as row number although not explicitly as row number.
Because these are not from DB.
I know if I added column by rowID function, I could join 2 tables by that key.
But it is Redundancy. For huge tables, it use more memory. It is bad.
