I understand that we can disable use of Business Author on a specific analysis file, but would like to be able to control at the folder level in much the same way as accessing analyses is controlled, perhaps by adding 'edit' or some other option alongside 'browse, access, full control etc..
We have a large installation with many thousands of analysis files and hundreds of analysts. We'd like to be able to use Business Author for all our users, but are concerned about the data security implications. Many of our analysts have published analyses on the understanding that users can only see what they expose to them - so they've used features such as data limiting or pre-applied fixed filters to limit what a user can see. We've disabled the 'download a copy of this analysis' feature to stop people circumnavigating such situations, but don't feel comfortable enabling Business Author since it would also allow users to bypass such features. Obviously, our analysts could go through their files and change the setting but (a) there are many thousands of files and folks would need to go one-by-one to decide if they need changing and (b) the default setting is liable to cause future problems because analysts may forget to change at the analysis level.
It would be far better for us to explicitly enable the use of Business Author at a folder level. This would give analysts and administrators greater confidence that the feature was being used as intended without any accidental misuse.
