Currently, when using the Analyst desktop, hovering over table rows in details visualization causes the related data in a primary map visualization to get highlighted. However trying the same in Web Player does not have the same effect : map data only gets highlighted when rows in the details get actually selected, but not by just hovering.
The following is a recent comment from a Spotfire user, emphasizing their need for this feature : "Our business users really seem to want the hover / mouse over function to work in web player like it does in analyst. I realize this is not current functionality based on the testing already done. It’s a longer shot but is there any way that Tibco would consider adding this feature? I don’t believe that this is a technical limitation of just web capability – it more looks like it is something that Tibco has not implemented on the web player."
