Possibility to add meta-data definitions to the data that is provided to the end user of a dashboard in Spotfire (e.g. by enhancing tooltip text with annotation text from TDV views). Meta data definitions can help the end user to understand the data and its context provided in a dashboard.
Tooltips in Spotfire is just an example; meta data can of course also be provided to the end user via other means once it is available from the data source.
This enhancement concerns two solutions: TDV should be able to export these; Spotfire should be able to use meta data definitions.
The other place this would be good is in the "Data Catalog" feature giving direct access to TDV views in Spotfire 12. Meta data on the view including keywords and column titles are useful things to display for users who are browsing to find the data source they need. Again -- needs TDV to have the meta data, and be able to send/view within Spotfire.
