Background threshold coloring based on fixed value or function y(x)

 to make colored zones in background of a chart, see attachement. These zone can be based on horital and thus fixed value, but may also be related to a function ( y(x)).

So far there's no way to color the background of a Spotfire visualization scatter plot based on value &/or category limits. Please consider.

Custom Background color based on axis values in Scatter plot or any other visualization

Spotfire should be able to color the background of visuals based on an expression. It would be beneficial for all end users to quickly determine if the values are good or average if they fall in a specific color area without anyone to explain them...

Custom Background based on current date

I would like to be able to grey out the visulization background for data older than a specific date (today, for instance) and the greyed out area keeps moving as today's date moves.
