The new 7.12 PDF export has the possibility to iterate through a filter. But this function only iterates through 100 filter items and shows an error: "All Pages could not be created". Although this is an understandable feature for the normal Spotfire clients, I don't like this restriction in the Automation Service generation of PDF. In Automation Services this restriction should not exists.
Typical use cases with more than 100 filter items are e.g. a Patient Profile for every patient in a clinical trial, which could be many more and the resulting PDF must contain every patient - otherwise it will be very hard to validate the output. One hard requirement here is that the page number is consecutive - so one cannot simply "concatenate" several 100 page PDFs into one.
Second example is a Chemical Compound overview for all Compounds of a library. Here we have in addition to the n>100 the requirement that the measurements of the single compound needs to be compared to the measurements of all other compounds e.g. the measured solubility in water of the one compound highlighted on the PDF page vs. the average of this particular measure over all compounds in this library. There you need to have all compounds in one PDF export.
I would regard this enhancement request important before the next LTS release comes out. Otherwise the PDF export feature will be of only limited use in the Life Sciences user base.
