display of common mathematical expressions based on highlighted data

Would like to highlight data on a graph, and have Spotfire tell me things like the Average, Mean, Max, Min without having to code.  I should be able to Display or Hide the "Stats" window, and based on what I highlight in the graph, it calculates the average, etc for the values of the data points selected.   We have an application called ChemDraw that draws chemical structures.  I can highlight a structure or a portion of the structure , and it will dynamically provide me with information such as melting point, boiling point, mass, and a number of other properties.  What I am asking for would be similar without having to code anything.
