At present when drop down document property is created by choosing column selection option, the column names in drop down appear in the order they got loaded into the data table and all calculated columns appear at towards the end. If there is no particular sort oder of names, It is difficult for user to search for the column of his choice by scrolling in dropdown property. The problem is even more when there are many columns in dropdown property. I have been receiving this feedback from many users to have this feature
