Visualization data as data table in Spotfire

Often we need access to the aggregated data from a visualization. E.g. for an external tool; or for reporting; or for input to a data function. We should have the ability to have the aggregated (plot) data available as a data table in Spotfire. It should change whenever the plot changes, e.g. when responding to marking, filtering or changing the axes, etc., etc.. Ideally, data functions would automatically (optionally) recalculate when the plot data changes. IronPython scripts could also be triggered. It should be up to the author to choose whether to reveal the plot data and manage any performance issues with any events triggered as a result.
