I'd like the ability to choose which axis the independent and dependent data are plotted. The specific application is plotting data versus depth. Depth would be better represented on the Y-axis instead of the X. I can do this with a scatter plot, but this is difficult to read when using the color by function to compare data from multiple items. This does not work with the line chart because the lines are connected by the x-axis data. Also, a line chart can have a binned column on the x-axis, but it isn't an option on the y-axis.

Vertical line chart is now available as a visualization mod for Spotfire from the TIBCO Community Exchange: https://community.tibco.com/modules/vertical-line-chart-mod-tibco-spotfirer
To use the vertical line chart mod, Spotfire 11.0 or later is required.
