UX: Improve Marking and Filter management

  • In Document Properties > Markings, you cannot re-order markings.
  • In Visualization Properties > Data, you cannot rename or re-order markings
  • The Markings management should be more directly accessible in Analyst, not tucked away in Document Properties
  • You should be able to add new markings directly from the Visualization Legend
  • In Document Properties > Filtering Schemes, you cannot organize filters
  • You can only go to Filtering Scheme Properties by right-clicking in the filter pane (one would expect this to be in Document Properties > Filtering Schemes)
  • When you have multiple filtering schemes, it is not very evident in Filter panel
  • When you multiple tables with filters, it is not very evident in Filter Panel

    Additionally, it would be very helpful to have the ability to see which markings/schemes are not used anywhere (so that they can get removed). Complex reports often have 10s of marking and filtering schemes and it is not really possible to manage those.
