The new Find tool in Spotfire 10 searches the contents of the open DXP file, library information link and DXP titles, DXP keywords applied when saving and probably some other stuff that I am not aware of. It does NOT search thru the description of information links. Please add this to the search. Many organizations struggle with helping users find data. If this were applied to the search administrators could add keywords or phrases to the description and users could use the Find tool to get what they are looking for.
We will look into this and see how it affects performance if we include descriptions in search automatically. Note that it is possible to search descriptions and other library properties by using the property search syntex. E.g. description:sales created:>"this week will find all library items with the description sales that were created this week.
