API to featch the document openning mode: viewing or editing

Hi,

We found Spotfire changed its main UI greatly in version 10. There is a new dropdown in the right of the the top bar with 2 options: Viewing, Editing. 

I was able to confirm that there is no public API for us to fetch this mode (Viewing or Editing). This seems to be internal to Spotfire.

We have some custom visuals/views may need to disable some editing features in viewing mode. To do this, we have following requests:

(1) We need API to fetch the document working mode.

(2) It will be very helpful if TIBCO can provide more knowledge about viewing mode. How Spotfire will handle a viewing mode document, what are different with editing mode? What should we do on our custom visuals/views when user switch to viewing mode?
