Due to antivirus and other protection software, and the way the Analyst Client performs its deployment update, it often crash.
This seem to be caused by the download, extract to a random folder name, and then rename the folder.
The recommended solution of disabling antivirus, is not doable for many customers, as their IT department have locked down antivirus changes. Plus asking the IT department to disable antivirus everytime a deployment area gets updated, is not feasible.
I think the solution is to capture these problems, and retry a few times with random delays. This might make the updates slower, but at least they will work. It will also allow the software to give better error messages if a module will not install.

We found out via support cases that certain Windows antivirus software where interrupting the Spotfire Analyst software upgrades.
In order to avoid this Microsoft Windows antivirus false positive, the upgrade process is now launched from the folder where Spotfire Analyst is installed, and not from the temporary folder as today.
This should reduce the risk of Windows antivirus software interrupting upgrades.
This will be effective in the Spotfire Analyst upgrades FROM version 10.9
