Please include the ability to create monthly and bi-weekly schedules in Automation Services via the Spotfire Server web UI. Currently, there is only the ability to create daily or weekly schedules.
Implemented in | 14.4 |
Hi,
I'm happy to announce that this has been implemented in Spotfire 14.4.
You can use now common recurrent rules when you schedule an Automation Services job. For example every X hours, every X days, every X weeks and every X months.
Recurrent rules simplify event scheduling, improve efficiency, enhance consistency, and provide a structured approach to managing events, ultimately leading to better time management and organization.
For more information, see the What's new in Spotfire 14.4 and the release notes and product documentation.
Thanks!!
This would be HUGELY beneficial for corporate emails. Please add this!

This feature is one of the most requested features within our company. Please include it!
We need to be able to run a single script multiple times per day. Using the 7.11 way with batch files and task scheduler is the only option we do have which is a pain managing the distribution of scripts across multiple Automation Services Servers.
Need Month option and weekly option to select monthly first day or first week or monthly first weekday.
Without these scheduler options we have some jobs still need to be triggered from windows task scheduler.
Hello
I am new to AS. But used to many other tool schedule.
It was a bug surprise to discover that we could only schedule for week. Anything about month or year.
Please addddd !
We need this Feature. It would reduce the unwanted amount of e-mails with pdfs/data !
We need this future.
This has been requested by users multiple times. It will be helpful to address the concerns.
People had invented a flexible cron format decades ago for this case.
Example of a scheduler config from another BI tool.
This is very basic requirement while working with Automation.
Don't know time time Spotfire team complete this.
N Day of Month, N Day of Week, Monthly, Weekly or custom calendar based options for scheduling Automation jobs will be really helpful.
I have the exact same situation as in Raghvendra's comment - schedules in more than one place. It would be extremely useful to have more the ability to schedule jobs with less than weekly frequencies.
This is critical to having a central platform on the portal to have all the automation service jobs in one place, instead of having some on the portal and others via another method like windows task scheduler.
