Alias Columns in Information Designer Using Custom SQL

I've  noticed that on occasions where I'm required to use custom SQL in my information links that I'm unable to alias the column names. I'm all for renaming columns within a DXP, but several of my users share information links. This can become cumbersome to have to rename columns for each instance of the information links they use.
