It would be very handy for users if they are able to paste a list of values into a ListBoxFilter. An example use case would be the following:
A user wants to copy a list of values from an Excel spreadsheet. They select the values by press Ctrl + C. Next, they open Spotfire Analyst/WebPlayer and paste them (i.e. Ctrl + V) into the desired ListBoxFilter. The filter accepts the list of values; filters the list and selects the appropriate values. All visualizations update according to the filter's selected values.
This behaviour is already present in many modern applications such as Tableau (https://www.tableau.com/trial/data-visualization).
Agree, a new filter type or an option to allow user listed values to a filter is needed for a long time.
1. Need to be able to paste text into a filter to have them set
2. Need ability to edit the selected values. e.g. current check box list should also allow and edit.
