Table properties lose their values when "insert columns" is used ...

Hi Developers,

Referring to the Support Case Number: 00739725;

TIBCO confirmed that If the new data does not have a value for the property, the value from the old data is used. If both old and new data have a value, the new one is used. If we have an empty properties, they are also considered as existing and considered as empty strings, In this case this is still considered a value.

As per TIBCO's Engineering this is the intended behavior.

Would you please add an option to select the default behavior (to override properties with new inserted data) or to preserve the values of the current properties.

Best Regards,

Ghannam

    Hi Thomas,

    Sorry for the late response!

    May I know the detail design of this Add column dialog?

    Does it have an option allowing user to choose source of table properties?

    It's better to have the image of new design for discussion.

    Thanks!

    Hi Joseph, and thank you for your comment. Would a new setting for existing/new data table properties in the Add columns dialog work for you? Changing the default behaviour is most probably not possible dur to risks with backwards compatibility.

    Hi TIBCO developers,

    This is very important for our clients, is there any update for when this is expected to be considered in any future release of TIBCO?
