Initiate script (or action control click) through user-defined hotkey or keystroke

I create and use dashboards with many action control buttons that trigger various scripts. The only way to use these dashboards involves a tremendous amount of mouse movement and clicking. It's slow, and frustrating, and strenuous on the index finger.

Those reasons are why hotkeys exist in every program ever. For example, efficiency and user effectiveness is amplified significantly due to the available hotkeys that Microsoft Excel offers.

Ideally, the ability to create and utilize my own hotkeys to trigger those scripts (or the action control button that the script is tied to) would allow for greater usability, efficiency, and effectiveness of my projects.

And it will also reduce the likelihood of developing carpal tunnel syndrome in my right index finger! Ha!
