File meta data

Problem

When reading file based data you cannot share when the file was updated or by whom, the basic file meta data eg last modified, last modified date, size are not accessible and thus cannot be presented to the report viewer.

Possible solution

Read the file meta data on loading of the file and make them available in Spotfire as a specific property type.

    Thanks for another great idea Bart. I have added it to the overall requirement of support for new file data sources and file formats.
