Copy Map layers to other map chart

In our analysis file, we have 10 pages each having at least 1 map chart on each page. We received a requirement to add 30 map layers to all of the map charts in our analysis file.

Currently, what we need to do is add all of the 30 layers to only 1 map chart and then duplicate that chart to all of the pages (of course removing the existing map on the page, i.e. overriding it). After that, we have to do a second pass to configure all of the map charts in all of the pages as each map chart uses different layer settings (some of the layers settings are different per page).

It would be very useful and timesaving if there was a way to simply copy only the layers that we are interested in from 1 Map chart to another

Thank you for the update. I guess we will have to wait until we upgrade to 10.10. (we use 10.8.1 at the moment) in order to try that feature.

    Hello,
Spotfire 10.10 LTS introduces the ability to duplicate a map chart layer in another map chart. I believe this will solve exactly your need.
You can learn more about what's new in Spotfire 10.10 LTS from here: https://community.tibco.com/wiki/whats-new-tibco-spotfire
