Need a way to draw rectangles (shapes) in lines and curves for Scatter Plot and Line charts

In a scatter plot, we need to represent the limits of the x-axis and y-axis columns as rectanges in the visualization. Today, we can only draw vertical and horizantal lines for upper & lower limits for both x-axis and y-axis.

It would be great if we can represent these limits (for both parameters) as a rectangle with an option to color it.

To generalize this idea, it would be great to allow users to add as many rectanges as needed as we do for 'Lines & Curves'. See attached image for an example on how these colored rectangles can be used.
