Currently if images in table cells are sourced from a URL which requires authentication (e.g. S3 bucket), then it's not possible to pass existing credentials to the URL.
For example if using OpenID to connect, the expectation is that the access token should also be passed to any image URLs that need the same token to be access.
Please allow existing authentication credentials to be passed to image URLs.
Fully support the proposed idea. We are currently working on the two different Spotfire based dashboards where the users have similar requests to display images, i.e. would be highly beneficial to implement in the future.
This is a critical feature that needs a fix for our users as soon as possible.
One more thing - our users (several thousands) rely on this (now broken) feature, and now it's starting to break for them. And they are complaining. And we have no answer, since "disable authentication" is not a viable or prudent option.

This is critical for us as we rely on this functionality to provide thigs like IC50 curves and tissue scans within table cells to our scientific community. To say that this is "important" is an understatement. Our services are rapidly converting to Azure / OpenID, and Spotfire has not kept pace with our changes. We lose a little every week, and it makes Spotfire look bad - our customers are seeking other solutions for their needs, and for things that Spotfire once provided to them.
So, we consider this a bug, not a feature request, since Spotfire used to provide this capability AND also claims to support OpenID. There is a workaround to remove authentication from the file share, but this is a non-starter. I don't know of any reputable CyberSecurity operation that would allow this to happen.
Spotfire needs to fully support OpenID and Azure across the entire ecosystem. Right nw there are a few half-measures; wee need the full measure of support, please.
thanks,
