With Data Functions being more easily exposed via the side bar and other mechanisms, it would be beneficial to have the option of passing notifications back to the Spotfire Notification window. Currently, only certain errors are capture and returned. The data function developer can't control these messages. Messages can be passed back via things like document properties but those are not automatically visible like notification are.
Great idea. At least an output window similar to IronPython where you can print the output to the "console".
