We can configure prompt or parameter on Information Link or data connection.
Currently the behavior is different as
(1) prompt on IL is prompted in Analyst
(2) prompt on IL is prompted in Web Player
(3) parameter on IL is prompted in Analyst
(4) parameter on IL is NOT prompted in Web Player (error happens)
(5) prompt on data connection is prompted in both Analyst and Web Player
(6) parameter (can be configured as prompt) on data connection is prompted in both Analyst and Web Player
Customer needs to use parameters on IL in Web Player to prompt end user to specify values to implement complex business logic, please allow parameter to be prompted in Web Player, to make (4) work.

Yes, it's about parameterized information links.
Tow reasons that customer wants this
(1) parameters can be prompted if using data connections (via connector)
(2) parameters are extremely useful when building complex SQL (prompt in IL can only be set on columns and can only be used as WHERE conditions and can not be used separately for multiple conditions)

Hi Wei Li, thanks for contributing to the Idea Portal. With parameters, are you referring to parameterized information links. Please note that this type of parameters is not intended for end-user promptng (the current prompting in Analyst is only for debug purposes as stated in the UI).
