Customer has many end users (around 100) and all of them are connecting to a shared server(1.5TB memory available) via RDP and using Analyst to analyze huge amount of data (up to hundreds of GB).
Analyst often pages data out to disk under "C:\Users\users\AppData\Local\Temp\TIBCO\Spotfire Desktop\12.0\DataStorage" and the page files are very huge (up to hundreds of GB in total) sometimes so C drive (total size is 1TB) ended up with out of space frequently.
They want to have an option to set limit on paging file size on Analyst as below,
(1) set paging file size limit to 0 so as to turn off Analyst's paging mechanism completely, if memory usage is high then OS can take part in and page out if necessary (let OS do the paging alone)
(2) set paging file size limit to -1(for example) so as to act as usual, i.e. Analyst can page data out without limit.
(3) set paging file size limit to xxGB so each paging file(by each Analyst process) won't exceed this limit. If actual size of the paging file reaches this limit then Analyst can let the OS take part in and do the paging out if necessary.
