In data canvas, upon clicking on any field, it would highlight/color code the associated source data table and downstream transformations.

It is difficult to know how a field is related to all other fields after combining many datasets and having layers of transformations, so it would be ideal to know after clicking the field in any dataset, which dataset it originally came from and all of the downstream transformations associated with that field. It could be color coded to be seen better: the origin has a color, and the future dependent transformations has another color. This way when deciding to make a change, one could see how that change would impact the rest of the data before making it. Moreover, it would help teammates who are new to an analysis better understand the layers of transformations when the analysis becomes more complex.
