Many of our customers are facing the issue that csv/xls/xlsx files are associated to Analyst automatically after Analyst is installed.

Unfortunately, this is the default behavior of certain versions of Windows (specifically Windows 10 and 11 in this case) and is not something Spotfire can control, aside from registering itself as an app that supports these file extensions.
The behavior may vary depending on the version of Windows used and could change again in the future, which is beyond our control.
Additionally, the Spotfire installer does not have the option to opt out of registering the supported file extensions. *** This ER is meant to address this.
