Link Annotation to a data point

Sometimes I would like to be able to connect an annotation in spotfire to a data point because I want to explain something about the data point for other users.

Business Author : Date like DD/MM/YYYY are load as STRING instead of DATE

Our users are working with Business Author. French date format are usually like : DD/MM/YYYY. But Spotfire does not recognize it ! As transform it as STRING It's a HUGE bug for us !
