Currently the only way to create a String List is to leverage a "List box". We have reporting needs that does not want to use the list box, but leverage the String List idea so that we can take advantage of the $map function for visualization display and manipulation.
It is not possible to freehand write a String with the correct format for $map to decipher.
Ideally we would like to be able to freehand write String Lists.
