When creating histograms, if our data set contains measurements with a very wide range of values, the resulting plots (both in box plots and bar charts) are not usable without filtering or limiting by marking. This makes exporting these graphs a VERY difficult process.
For box plots, the "Multiple Scales" -> "For each Trellis Panel" would be a very clear and aligned addition to other graphs. Frankly I was really surprised to see it wasn't an option.
For bar charts, having this multiple scales wouldn't align as no other visual has X-Axis scaling. However, in the axis configuration options, the ability to reevaluate the axis based on trellis panel would be a very good solution. In this way, even for other visuals, when you have empty or missing combinations in your X-Axis hierarchy, it would reevaluate and give you a better view of your axis scales.
Today, it is incredibly difficult for our engineers to make final reports as filtering down to a single test to fix the scale disables the "Export to PowerPoint" ability to bulk export all of the trellis panels, but not filtering down makes the scales incorrect. You can see an example of this in the attached .dxp file. To put in perspective, we see analysis documents with close to 3000 tests in some product lines. This means that our engineers are having to manually export 3000 visuals when the tools already exist to bulk export them.
A customer requested individual control of axes for each trellis window in a bar chart, which seems related to this.
