Spotfire Ideas Portal
In addition to the ideas to allow for more JavaScript charts, it would be extremely useful to allow a JavaScript Renderer (e.g. in Tooltip, TableCell, Labels, etc.). Often times, the Spotfire native charts provide most of the capabilities and configurations that I need, but I have some special datatype (e.g. biological molecule) that would be best rendered in a unique or domain-specific way. Currently, there are many open source options for rendering that domain-specific datatype, but there's no way to incorporate that into the Spotfire context without going to a full-blown JS chart.
