To make the Spotfire extension installation more intuitive, one could provide a checkbox option while uploading an sdn or spk to automatically update the webplayer service or any other service that is installed on the nodes. Else each extension installation doco (Like the LVWeb spotfire extension) needs to include this additional step.
Or perhaps a property of the node that it should automatically apply available updates.
