Add "Microsoft Studio" type of feature to browse a database's tables or views and see content and build query; this way data discovery is easier

In a startup company or when you are new toa  company's data sources, "finding" valuable data is important and a lot of work. Today I use MS Studio to browse tables and views and build my queries; and then copy them to Spotfire, I'd like to do at least simple data discovery (opening a DB, seeing which tables and views are there, getting the first 50 rows of a table/view to see if its contents are useful) natively in spotfire.

This should be very easy with Spotfire data connectors. You can preview tables by adding them to the view and right clicking them. You can also work in-database to explore your data without loading rows up front. Here's an example of this approach but it can be applied to any of the 50+ supported data sources.
