Ability to stretch long text from a data table, cross table or calculated value to multiple pages in a prepared report

When long text such as 5K characters or more are displayed in Spotfire using table, cross table or calculated values, there is no feature i have seen in Spotfire X that forces the remaining text to a new page in a PDF export or prepared report.

This feature is limiting my ability to decommission SSRS based reports and use Spotfire as the single analytics, dashboarding and printable reporting tool for our projects.

Niklas any ideas on how to solve for this?  The only workaround I could think of is parcing the long text values into 5000 character increments on separate pages of the prepared report however for users that have say 1000 characters they would get multiple blank pages in their report

Thanks Paul, that is very clear now. I added a little to the description.

Basically when 1 cell of a table contains more than 5000 characters of text field it does not continue the additional characters on a second page of a prepared report.   I am limited in reducing text size to force all characters to fit on a page of a prepared report where even the most reduced text size does not accommodate say 10000 characters in the cell.

A cell here could be data table cross table or calculated value as I have tried all 3 to no avail thus far.

Paul, many thanks for sharing your idea. Can you please elaborate a little about the context of this, like is it many such large blocks of characters you need to export, are  you expecting the characters in a table cell, a text area or something else?
