Please enable recommendatinos for live data. For example through a snapshot query against live data (Spotfire Data Streams) using some set of parameters (past time window, logical predicate, etc) to create a temporary import the recommendations engine could use for in-memory analysis.
This would allow the user to sample the existing historical dataset held in the data streams memory to choose from recommended visualizations, which could then be used to visualize future data.
