Trellis for visualization mods

Trellis is a very powerful way of visualizing and comparing data in different parts. Spotfire Mods framework should natively support Trellis.

I would like the Mods API to automatically provide the Properties configuration dialogue like in bar chart with rows, columns, pages or panels with split by and manual layout. See for example configuration of Trellis for Bar Charts.

The Spotfire Mods framework would automatically draw the respective e.g. 2 x 2 areas including header for each part and then call the mods visualization 2 x 2 times with the respective subset of data.

This would greatly simplify the availability for trellis for Mods, because the Mods framework would take care rather than then mod itself to develop the functionality individually.
